Bringing Home The Win: Decades Partners Win 2024 Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association Award

Decades working Partners Chris Trendler, Operations Manager, and Jonathan Yeager, Design & Development Manager, won the 2024 Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association (PRLA) Rising Star Award on Monday, October 28, at the Kalahari Resort Poconos, after being named finalists previously this month.

“It was an honor to receive the Pennsylvania Restaurant and Lodging Association Rising Star Award with my business partner Jonathan,” said Chris Trendler. “We have always taken pride in our involvement in the community and this award helps us to reflect on that impact. We are so proud of our team, who's ongoing enthusiasm extends our goals into the future.”

“What an honor to win this award alongside Chris after many years of hard work,” said Jonathan Yeager. “We love creating events and businesses that bring our community together. We’re so grateful to be able to work with such a dedicated and hard working team who cares about what we do as much as us!”

There were twelve different award categories, with the Rising Star Award honoring emerging leaders in the hospitality & tourism industry who demonstrate ongoing exceptional growth, notable industry involvement, and strong leadership.

The award was presented to Chris and Jonathan during a special Awards Gala where eleven other award winners were announced in various categories. Other Lancaster County award winners included team members from Kitchen Kettle Village.

It’s a great milestone to not only celebrate their work, but to also showcase the incredible team at Decades who Chris and Jonathan empower, engage, and support with deliberate leadership.”

Founded in 1937 as the Pennsylvania Restaurant Association, the PRLA has grown into one of the largest state hospitality and tourism associations in the nation. The Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association champions facets of the Commonwealth’s hospitality and tourism industries. Their mission is to promote, protect, educate, and improve these industries.
